By rail
Rail Stations ‘Cobham & Stoke D’Abernon’ and Esher both provide routes into and out of London Waterloo, with the other associated links. Train times vary but through the day leave and arrive at Cobham & Stoke D’Abernon approx. every half an hour.

By car
From the M25 leave at Junction 10 and head up the A3 to London taking the first junction off for Cobham the outskirts of which are immediately adjacent to this junction.

From the M3 and M4 (Heathrow) join the M25 and head anti-clockwise to junction 10 and follow the instructions above.

From the M23 (Gatwick), M20 and M26 join the M25 and proceed clockwise to junction 10 and follow the instructions above.

From London join the A3 from Central London driving South and continue on this road taking the Cobham turning, shortly before reaching junction 10 of the M25 (if you reach this you have gone too far!).

The town centre and vibrant, cosmopolitan High St are a few minutes from the A3 turning and parking in the Town Centre car park is both free and convenient.

  Cobham - Town or village?
Cobham started life as a small but bustling farming community based around the River Mole. The surprisingly leafy environment in such close proximity to London, with swift access to the arterial connections of A3, M25, M3, M4 etc. together with both Heathrow and Gatwick airports make it a nigh on perfect place to live. It is now regarded by many as a Surrey village with a truly cosmopolitan ambience!

Adjacent to Cobham are the Elmbridge Commons with approaching 1,000 acres of beautiful wood and common-land, whilst the River Mole with it’s overhanging weeping willows meanders at one end of the stylish High St.

Rail links to/from London are fast with a frequent rush hour service. Fast trains to London from Cobham/Stoke d’Abernon railway station whisk you to the capital in around 35 minutes whilst some commuters opt for the even faster mainline service caught from Esher (Waterloo from approx. 22 to 25 mins.). For the car driver, the centre of London lies a mere 19 miles to the north-east and you can motor to the cross channel ports of Dover, Folkestone and Portsmouth with relative ease.

Schooling in particular is well catered for in and around the Cobham area, with a wide selection of state and private options. There is also the large ‘American Community School’ with students attending from around 50 nationalities, supported by the many US and Foreign nationals on postings to this country and often working in London.

The shopping experience is excellent in Cobham, with fashionable boutiques and delicatessens, as well as many other standard shops providing all from Hardware stores to sports shops. There are ‘Waitrose’ and ‘Sainsburys’ supermarkets with the local shops providing meat, fish, groceries, and even Caviar for that special dinner party. More comprehensive facilities are found at the bustling centres of Kingston-upon-Thames and Guildford.

Places to visit

Golf clubs are in abundance with well known courses at Silvermere, Pachesham Park, Burhill, St. Georges Hill & Moore Place, and the general area is well catered for with a host of sporting facilities.
